A New Perspective

Step 1: The Encounter

Peter's Profound ENCOUNTER

What happened?
Peter was praying on a rooftop when he had a profound encounter with God. This wasn't just a simple prayer; it was a visionary experience that completely changed his perspective on who the Gospel was for.

The Big Idea:
This encounter revolutionised his understanding of evangelism and discipleship making. He learned that he "should not call unclean anything that God has called clean." It's a powerful reminder that our mission begins with a fresh vision from God.

Step 2: To Engage

Engaging with Cornelius

What happened? Empowered by his encounter, Peter went to the home of Cornelius, a Gentile. He went "outside" the familiar walls of Judaism to share the good news. He broke through cultural and religious constraints he had always known.

The Big Idea: This is about more than just talking; it's about actively engaging with people who are different from us. It's about stepping out of our comfort zones to meet people where they are, just as Jesus did.

Step 3: The Expansion

The Kingdom will EXPAND -

What happened? As a result of Peter's actions, the Gospel was set free. It wasn't confined to a single group of people; it was now able to spread across the entire world. The good news of Jesus is for those BEYOND THE WALLS.

The Big Idea: Our personal encounters and engagements have a purpose: to expand the Kingdom. When we break down our own walls and engage with the world, we become part of God's mission to reach all people.

Are We at a Similar Crossroads Today?

The Reality: Just like Peter's time, the church is at a crossroads. Many people today have little to no connection with the church or knowledge of Jesus.

The Invitation: To reach these people, we are called to join Jesus in His Mission.

Your Next Step: This interactive experience is just the beginning. The Joining

The Jesus Disciples’ Journey course is designed to inspire, encourage, and equip you to seek God's heart, have a fresh encounter with Him, and then actively join Jesus in His Mission.
