God is passionate about reaching the lost and if we are to join Jesus in His mission which is summarised in Luke 19:10 as follows, ‘the son of man came to seek and to save the lost’, we need to connect with God’s heart and feel His passion for the lost people that we are among.
Many lost people are close to us but far from God. To help you to (re)discover and connect with God’s heart for lost people we have produced ‘Pursuing God’s Heart’ as a critical step in The Rooftop Process.
Hi, I’m Dennis Pethers
Born near London in a completely secular environment, Dennis often says, “I didn’t know that I didn’t know Jesus.” His life was transformed when a boss gave him a copy of C.S. Lewis’s Mere Christianity. Through that book, Dennis discovered a staggering truth: the Creator of the universe loved him enough to die for him.
That encounter ignited a lifelong passion to reach people who, like his younger self, have never heard the Gospel. After training at Spurgeon’s College, Dennis pastored a church and led Viz-A-Viz Ministries in the UK for 20 years. In 2012, he founded The Rooftop, a global movement that equips the church to join Jesus in His mission by making disciples beyond the church walls.
Dennis is married to Lynn, and they are the proud parents of three adult children: Gregg, Scott, and Amy.
Pastors/Leaders Course
A 12-month journey to transform the way you lead.
This course is designed to move beyond theory and into practice. Over the course of twelve engaging online sessions, you will not only learn about discipleship—you will be equipped to live it.
Each month, you will unlock a new module featuring video teaching and an interactive workbook.
The rhythm of the course is simple but powerful: Equipping, Action, and Reflection.
You won't just consume content; you will engage in practical exercises designed to measure your growth as you learn to equip a missional community.
Different Ways to Participate:
- Individually: Move through the content at your own steady pace.
- As a Cohort: Gather a group of 12 or more pastors and leaders to experience the online equipping sessions together. Groups benefit from peer accountability and paired exercises to deepen the learning experience.
- With a Coach : This one carries a small cost but you gain the benefit of doing it one of our key leaders coaching you and your 12 leaders.
Course Focus: Throughout the year, we will dive deep into three critical questions:
- What is the mission of Jesus?
- What is a true disciple?
- How do we make disciples who make disciples?
