This course has been produced to help you, as a follower of Jesus, to connect with God’s heart, receive a fresh vision of God’s passion for the lost, and be equipped to Join Jesus in His Mission by becoming a disciple who makes disciples outside of the walls of the church.

The ‘Joining Jesus’ Process The Joining Jesus leader’s course: • Is taught/facilitated by Rev Dennis Pethers through 12 online equipping sessions that will be followed by action leading to reflection on what is being learned. The sessions will be one-per-month available once the previous one is completed. • Contains video content and an interactive work book for each participant. • The course is designed to do individually and can be done together in a group with minimum of 12 pastors/leaders who will participate in the online equipping session together and may be placed into pairs for the ‘let me’ aspects of Joining Jesus. • Includes practical ‘exercises’ that will measure what is being learned as the leader seeks to be an equipper of a missional community. • Focus on three key areas: 1. What is the mission of Jesus? 2. What is a disciple? 3. How do we make disciples who make disciples?
If you are going to be a disciple who joins Jesus in His mission, it is imperative that you connect with God’s passion for lost people. God is passionate about reaching the lost and if we are to join Jesus in His mission which is summarised in Luke 19:10 as follows, ‘the son of man came to seek and to save the lost’, we need to connect with God’s heart and feel His passion for the lost people that we are among. Many lost people are close to us but far from God. To help you to (re)discover and connect with God’s heart for lost people we have produced ‘Pursuing God’s Heart’ as a critical step in The Rooftop Process.
